Tilt, a crowdfunding startup, helps groups raise funds by providing campaigners with the social media tools needed to grow their presence and attract contributions. From birthday parties to education, the projects Tilters get to help power drive them forward every day.
Tilt’s founders are all about transparency, from communicating the company’s latest metrics to holding Keg Thursdays where Tilters can ask anything they please. “I think we want to all operate here with the notion that people have all of the tools that they need to succeed, whether that’s from the highest levels of the investors and the founders of the company to the day-to-day tools,” shares Sam Baker, Growth Manager.
Leadership at Tilt is passionate about other core values as well, such as speed of survival, treating others the way you want to be treated, and thinking like an owner. Says Samantha Peretore, Growth Manager, “At Tilt I’ve seen the focus on, emphasis on, and repetition of core values in a way I’ve never seen or heard of at another company.”
The importance placed on these core values has spread from management to all Tilters. “Everyone here has your back. And I think that when you’re moving very fast you can sometimes break things, mess up, make mistakes. And it’s fantastic and so refreshing that everyone is so humble and just knows that everyone else has the right intention and heart,” says Mary Yap, Product Manager. It’s this type of culture that empowers employees to speak up and take initiative, all while feeling valued.
If you are a positive individual who constantly likes to think outside the box, Tilt may just be the place for you.
