Dream Job Alert: Get Paid to Snap as You Travel Around the World
If there’s one thing I wish I could quit my job to do, it’s traveling. Though I prefer having a permanent residence somewhere and have little desire to live the nomad life, the travel bug bit me pretty hard over a decade ago. I’d give up a lot to be able to taste the freshest croissants in Paris, swim in the bluest of blue waters of Gran Canaria, or get a fika fix in Stockholm.
But, alas, the never-ending dilemma: Traveling all the time isn’t really a feasible option when you only have 15 days of PTO each year (and use up a good portion of those days visiting family over the holidays). Sure, I could give my two weeks’ notice and have all the time in the world. But, I’d sacrifice a steady source of income and end up running out of funds fairly soon.
For those of you who feel similarly, I have great news. WOW Air, an Iceland-based low-budget airline with 28 destinations in Europe and the U.S., wants to make your dreams come true. How? They’re looking to hire four people to travel—for free. What’s the catch? You just have to Snapchat your experiences.
I’m serious. That’s the only job requirement. Expenses for flights, hotel stays, and all travel activities will be completely comped by WOW Air. Oh, and, say hello to a travel allowance, too. Cha-ching! I’m not sure this could get any better.
Interested? You can apply by submitting a two-minute Snapchat story on WOW Air’s SnapTraveler Application site. If you’re chosen, you’ll spend three months this summer exploring four cities this airline flies to, such as Frankfurt, Montréal, San Francisco, and Barcelona. The deadline to apply is May 8 and the winners will be announced on May 17, so if this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, start snapping!
If you don’t win (or if you miss the deadline), don’t worry—we have some other social media jobs that may be right up your alley.
