When companies need an app made and don’t have the internal resources to do it well, they go to Rocksauce, where they can expect to receive a distinctive and beautiful mobile app on any device. And while they’ve worked with clients to make a myriad of impressive apps, nobody at Rocksauce feels like they just crank out apps for a living.
“We’re not just doing a job—we’re impacting lives,” explains Aaron Koontz, Director of Project Management. “We have the opportunity to make people’s dreams a reality.”
With the slogan “We don’t make apps, we create happiness” painted boldly on the office wall, it’s clear Rocksaucers take their mission seriously. And in order to deliver unforgettable app experiences, Rocksauce needs the best people with all different kinds of backgrounds to join its team. With interests ranging from film and acting to anime and Star Wars, Rocksauce employees bring all sorts of expertise and ideas to the table—but everyone is a creative in one way or another.
Team traditions keep the office fun and keep the Rocksauce team connected to its mission. A favorite event is the annual October “Rocktober,” a celebratory event that gathers office employees, remote workers, and past, present, and possibly future clients to Rocksauce’s Austin headquarters for food, drinks, fun, sometimes singing, and always plenty of bonding. Plus, it gives employees a chance to remember and appreciate that their work impacts lives in large ways.
