Autodesk Is a Place for All Kinds of People
Autodesk is a multinational software corporation, renowned for its expertise in designing software for the architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media, and entertainment industries. It has become the global leader in 3D design.
Fun fact: Many members of the Autodesk team came with little to no background in engineering or computer software. Kobus Grobbelaar, an Information Security Engineer, started as a part-time employee, and loved his job so much that he was eventually promoted to full-time. Fiona Araya-Byrd, a Project and Program Specialist, originally studied anthropology in college, but soon found she thrived in the creative environment Autodesk offered and enjoyed designing for consumer needs—and she hasn’t left the field since:
“It’s mind-blowing what we do here. We’re helping people build the future with our software,” she says.
More than just looking for hires with certain skillsets, Autodesk searches to find people who demonstrate flexibility without frustration, are fast learners with quick reaction times, and can demonstrate the ability to work well within a team environment. Potential candidates must be energetic, optimistic—and always willing to take on new and different Autodesk challenges.
