Eventbrite’s mission is to become a global marketplace for live events, and when you look at the numbers, it’s clear the company is well on its way. After all, Eventbrite is in 187 countries, facilitating 1.2 million events per year, and processing 4 million tickets per month.
“We have the opportunity to be the canonical source for live events—and being that place that helps people lead a more fulfilling life through connective, live experiences is very exciting,” says Julia Hartz, co-founder and president.
Britelings get the chance to pursue initiatives they’re interested in, as long as those goals are tied to the overall company mission. This aspect of the company promotes ownership, passion, and job satisfaction—plus, it keeps Eventbrite a hub of innovation!
Another cool perk about the company? Its awesome offices. After making its sixth move in four years, the Eventbrite team knew exactly what it wanted in a working space. Britelings love being able to swap their desks for hanging hammocks, stadium seating, or standing desks when they feel like mixing things up. They also love the bike racks, copious amounts of natural light, office dogs, and the hot sauce wall.
Whitney Ryan, a project manager at Eventbrite, says one of the things she loves the most about her job is getting to work on really complex and exciting projects. Her teammates don’t hurt, either.
“Eventbrite is an exceptional place to work because I’m able to work with extremely smart and driven people through really different challenges,” she says.
Galen Krumel, a senior director of engineering, feels similarly. “The people at Eventbrite are excited about what they’re doing, and we’re driven to do really well,” he explains. “These are the folks that I want to spend the next 15 years with.”
