What’s in a name? Well, at On Purpose, a lot.
The organization believes the key to solving many of society’s most prevalent issues is changing how we do business. To that end, On Purpose has established a year-long Associate Programme, in which it helps talented professionals develop the experience, knowledge, and networks they need to lead the change.
As an associate, you’ll be paid to work with organizations like Virgin Unite, Big Society Capital, JustGiving, UnLtd, and Social Enterprise UK—just to name a few. You’ll also receive training from professionals at organizations including McKinsey, the Design Council, the Cabinet Office, Ogilvy, and the Big Issue.
As if that wasn’t cool enough, associates also get support from mentors and executive coaches, who help them reflect on their experiences and make future plans.
“My mentor played a crucial role in my professional development during the On Purpose year and challenged me to approach tasks and challenges in ways that I had not yet considered,” says fellow Caroline Murray-Lyon.
Constança Santos, another fellow, says that she has her On Purpose coach to thank for the fact that she knows what excites her, what motivates her, and where she sees herself in the future.
After the program’s completion, 90% of the alumni stay in the social enterprise space—and they continue to benefit from On Purpose’s dedicated training, social events, and peer-to-peer support.
If you’re interested in becoming a fellow, the deadline to apply is Monday, May 11.
