Staying focused at work for long stretches of time is virtually impossible. With email notifications, phone alerts, and that overly chatty co-worker stopping at your desk every 10 minutes, it’s rare to find more than a few moments of distraction-free time. In fact, Wrike has found that office workers are interrupted every four to 11 minutes—that’s a real nightmare when you have a 5 PM deadline today.
The good news is that, with a few tweaks here and there, you can create a workplace that will help you get work done. While you probably can’t make all of the changes below, you can most definitely make enough to extend that 11-minute productivity span.
