Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing support towards building, maintaining, and improving True Value's customer and product profitability models and related business processes. This position will create complex financial models, generate meaningful insights, and make recommendations on improving overall profitability at the customer and supplier levels. This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple work assignments simultaneously. This position must be able to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of management to communicate financial results, the impact of proposed business decisions, and drive performance improvements. This position requires strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills, and the ability to clearly communicate complex business issues.

Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).

1. Supports company-wide customer and product profitability management process and systems

2. Conducts continuous improvement efforts including model integration and accuracy

3. Provides proactive analysis and insights to business partners to drive improved financial performance and meet the goals and objectives of the business

4. Provides other financial support of strategic projects, key initiatives, and process improvement teams

5. Leads and initiates ad hoc projects as requested

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting Field

• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

• Intermediate knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI or Qlik).

• Beginner knowledge of SQL skills
