The Director of Operations Initiatives and Strategy will report to both the VP, Client Onboarding and Administration and VP, Head of GI Claims. They will be responsible for driving outcomes relative to annual business strategies and defined roadmaps across Operations verticals. Critical components are not limited to but include the creation and execution of strategic roadmaps, metrics optimization, operational readiness, expense management, CX improvement, and talent management/ engagement. These areas of focus are critical enablers to our business strategy and require field, focus, and transparent reporting. This leader will drive accountability across the many strategic efforts underway that enable the delivery of our strategic objectives in a cohesive manner across Operations. While the role is highly strategic, tactical execution and effective dot connecting across the various functions within and outside of Operations will be essential skillsets for this role.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:

(Efforts include, but not limited to)

  • Plan, coordinate, and drive execution and implementation with and on behalf of the Group Insurance Claims and Service senior leaders, this includes influencing leaders and stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
  • Synthesize information and issues to enable faster decision-making; is accountable for day-to-day operation/execution of key projects and programs sponsored by the Claims and Service senior leaders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and sounding board for the senior leadership team; propel team cohesion and engagement.
  • Create the necessary linkages between the Claims and Service senior leadership team and broader organization; work with functional partners, outside vendors, centralized functions, and COE's to ensure results and outcomes in support of the Group Insurance strategy.
  • Recognize and facilitate relationships most vital to the success of the leader's agenda; manage and strengthen these relationships both internally and externally.
  • Partner to refine and promote the leader's vision and mission; consult on communication strategies by providing a clear understanding of what will resonate with variance audiences globally.
  • Be an excellent project manager with a close attention to details to drive priorities and execution.

What you'll need:

  • Three to five years of experience in strategy development, program management, and/or project execution roles, including experience in financial services
  • Well-honed written, verbal, and creative communication skills, including the ability to translate insight into content
  • Enterprise mindset with the ability to work across organizational boundaries to build alignment
  • Self-starter with superior problem-solving logic and decision making
  • Excellent team player who works well in collaborative, cross-functional settings, with a variety of personalities and styles.
  • Able to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity and change, in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify inter-dependencies
  • Strong, interpersonal, organizational, and execution skills
  • Expertise in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $148,800.00 to $201,200.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
