Release Coordination Manager

1901 Group (A Leidos Company) has an exciting Release Coordination Manager position which located in our facilities in San Antonio, Texas.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is slated to start in June 2024. The Release Coordination (RC) Manager is a specialized role within the Maintenance Operations Center in support of the Air Force Integrated Defensive Cyberspace System (IDCS). This person will be responsible for coordinating the release of system updates for various systems across multiple organizations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Software Release Coordination: As the development team completes software releases for production use, the RC Manager will communicate the availability of the new software release to the various system users. They will coordinate with the user's schedules to make sure the upgrade can be done at a time that does not impact their ongoing missions.
  • Maintain System Availability Status: The RC Manager will coordinate with the various system users to maintain an accurate status of all deployed system, whether they are ready to support mission activities or not. In addition, they will track the repair status of systems that are not mission ready to make sure that actions are being taken and prioritized to move these systems back to mission ready status.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams, including Development, Engineering, Service Desk, and PMO to escalate problems for resolution. Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing among teams.
  • User Advocacy: Engage the user community to understand their priorities for new functionality on the platform and share with the engineering and development teams.
  • Customer Focus: Understand the impact of recurring problems on end-users. Prioritize problems that have a significant impact on service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of problem management processes and make recommendations for improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in software and systems engineering, additional years of experience will be acceptable in lieu of a degree.
  • Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical and non-technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Secret Clearance, able to qualify for TS/SCI, US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Software Release management

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
