About the Role:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with a team that is fast-paced and dedicated. We are looking for candidates with a strong CS background, who are natural team players to act as a key part of the QA team in testing our KeepTruckin ELD (Electronic Logging Device, an in-vehicle data acquisition system) and non-ELD integrated software features. This is a cross-functional role that partners with our Product, Design, and Embedded Development teams, as well as our software “On Call” engineers and customer service representatives in the USA and Canada.

What You'll Do:

  • Test KT hardware devices
  • Dispatch production bugs and help to drive them to a resolution
  • Create and maintain dashboards and data analytics reports
  • Develop and execute full system regression and new feature Test Plans
  • Test implementation, test execution, and data validation
  • Develop QA artifacts such as bug reports, improvement suggestions, and requirement traceability matrices
  • Define, estimate, track, and report progress of quality assurance efforts
  • Collaborate with other departments and facilitate escalation and/or triage of issues

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years experience in quality assurance, including functional testing, acceptance testing, usability testing, end-to-end testing, exploratory testing, ad-hoc testing, as well as experience with bug management systems and procedures
  • Thorough understanding of software development life cycle
  • Experience creating detailed regression and incremental Test Plans
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, KANBAN, and S/W testing life cycles
  • Knowledge of issue tracking tools (JIRA preferable)
  • Knowledge of test management tools (TestRAIL)
  • Experience testing embedded FW is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with Linux is a plus
  • Familiarity with SQL is a plus
