Minimum qualifications:

  • Typically 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience with C, C++, and Linux drivers.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Candidates will typically have 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience with mobile devices, batteries, charging, or wireless charging.

You will research, define, develop, and bring to the consumers innovation on battery management, wired and wireless charging from concept to volume production to post deployment.

    The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google's artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and lead the development of software, firmware solutions and tools for charging and battery management from requirements and design through implementation and test plans.
    • Lead efforts in design, development and support of software, firmware and device driver in the areas of charging, battery management and cell modeling for android, pixel, resource constrained environments and embedded devices.
    • Debug and triage battery and charging issues, develop and deploy auto-triage tools.
    • Improve observability of the hardware, software, battery and charging firmware by implementing new systems in areas such as telemetry, on-device diagnostics, updatability, and apps.
    • Develop expertise in battery management and charging solutions.
