Dolby's consumer entertainment and cinema businesses are bringing Dolby's breakthrough technologies, powering the world's top movies, TV shows, music, games, and live sports to more places around the world across a wider range of consumer experiences and devices.

As a vital member of our team, you'll spearhead the development and implementation of groundbreaking imaging/video algorithms, particularly in the realm of Dolby Vision. Picture yourself orchestrating new technical architectures to support our strategic innovation pipeline across diverse ecosystems and device categories. Your role will involve taking emerging imaging technologies from proof-of-concept to high-performance, high-quality software libraries, optimizing algorithms for GPUs and CPUs, and collaborating within an Agile framework.

We're looking for visionaries with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, coupled with a fervent passion for multimedia technologies and a minimum of 4 years of professional experience. Solid experience in C/C++, experience with Windows/Linux development, and good communication skills are must-haves. Additionally, experience in computer graphics, computer vision, image processing, or video processing is highly desirable. Familiarity with OpenGL for graphics programming and OpenCV for computer vision tasks is a definite plus. You should have k nowledge of video technologies, cinema and television production and post-production workflows. If you have familiarity with D olby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, this is a plus .

The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is $180,700 - $220,800K, which can vary if outside this location,plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
