Senior Payroll Analyst

Remote

This role is a 12 month FTC.

The Senior Payroll Analyst ensures accurate processing and recording of company's payroll working closely with Local Finance and Talent teams. Provide timely and accurate financial information. Participate in data entry Payroll processing, related tax duties and holiday processing. Serve as mentor and ongoing reference to payroll staff.

In this role you will:

  • Maintains payroll information by designing systems; directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data (support provided via Talent)
  • Update payroll records, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers.
  • Ensuring all packages and benefits are legal.
  • Oversee pension and savings plans.
  • Perform daily payroll department operations.
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
  • Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.
  • Execute time and attendance / holiday processing and interface with payroll.
  • Process manual check and relocation metrics.
  • Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
  • Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Complies with local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Project management of continued enhancement and management of payroll processing across specific regions
  • Ability to review peer work for accuracy and mentor as needed.
  • Ability to accept new assignments quickly and easily. Juggle competing needs
  • Know when to ask for assistance.

You've got what it takes if you have:

  • Processed payroll in multiple countries and time zones (Poland payroll expertise essential).
  • Navigated payroll providers in multiple languages (not necessarily spoken)
  • Strong Educational background
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong working knowledge of various payroll systems.
  • Strong work ethic and team player.
  • High degree of professionalism.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
