Make Your Mark:

The Contracts Negotiator will have broad responsibility for contract negotiation support, with particular focus on the mid-market business.

You'll Get To:

  • Draft, redline and revise BlackLine or third party agreements related to the licensing of BlackLine's hosted services (license agreements, non-disclosure agreements, data processing agreements, channel partner agreements).
  • Partner with Sales Ops and Finance to support the contract negotiation and close process.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on commercial legal matters.

• Outstanding negotiation skills to effectively advocate the organization's interests internally and externally.

• Ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to legal issues, balancing legal risks against business interests.

• Ability to work independently while also being a strong collaborator.

• Creative thinker with a process-oriented working style, delivering high energy and enthusiasm.

• Understanding of SaaS agreements and processes.

• Highly detail-orientated and results-driven paired with a keen sense of client focus.

• Outstanding communication (verbal/written) skills.

• Ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, prioritize workflow and adjust to frequent workload fluctuations.

• Ability to identify, establish and maintain productive partnerships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration or a related field.

• Proven experience in contract negotiation, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.

• Significant commercial experience in a customer facing capacity.

• Experience using Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems to manage contracts efficiently.

• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for tracking client interactions and opportunities

• A least five years of experience negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements in the software industry.

• The Role will be remote (US)

Salary Range:

USD $104,000.00 - USD $140,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
