Description

We are responsible for driving quality improvement actions on future products and manufacturing processes and developing plans to validate / verify new product quality at each development milestone. -Identify and drive quality improvement opportunities in future products and manufacturing processes Generate Product Quality Plan (PQP) -Lead Process FMEAs on new technologies and manufacturing processes -Lead technical Failure Analysis to support root cause analysis and issue resolution (FAE experience and background troubleshooting a variety of issues preferred) -Monitor Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) and Customer Audit (CA) processes at OEM sites - Manage quality escalation issues as directed by the Product Quality Manager - Drive on-going product improvements with OEM partners -Support AppleCare Service & Engineering on specific investigations - Conduct periodic reviews of Field/Factory Quality Data with OEM partners -Prepare OK to Ship documentation impacting future product launch -Attend new product development builds as required -International Travel is required (up to 25%)

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in either manufacturing or the development of consumer electronics
  • Quality methodology, Design of Experiments, statistical process control methods and theory
  • Reliability methods and quality statistical sampling
  • Data driven and results oriented approach to problem solving
  • Clear and consistent communication, including executive level presentation skills
  • Technical systems knowledge related to electronics and mechanical assembly

Education & Experience

BS or MS degree in Engineering, MBA a plus
