The Hackathon
A tradition in the making, Shutterstock’s annual Hackathon is a 24-hour, company-wide event that celebrates creativity and allows people to form cross-departement teams to build whatever it is they're passionate about. From new mobile apps to interactive 404 pages, dozens of teams compete for exciting prizes and a chance to have their project officially funded and launched by Shutterstock.

Since its founding in 2003 by CEO Jon Oringer, Shutterstock has been building its photo, vector, and illustrations library. Bloggers, content sites, and agencies alike can pay to use the high-quality images, and Shutterstock contributors can profit from their work. Shutterstock now boasts a presence in 150 different countries and operates in 10 different languages.
